Answer the following questions:
1. How many people live in the Goulburn Broken Catchment?
2. Explain the role of Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority.

Mapping Exercise :
Use the print version map and images of the Goulburn Broken Catchment - teachers can photocopy.
When working on the map use different colours and a key. Keep it as neat as possible as there is a lot to mark on the map. Use small neat printing.
1. Use blue pencil to trace along the length of the Goulburn River, Broken River and the Murray River.
2. Use black pencil to trace and label the Hume Highway through the region. Name two highways that pass through Shepparton.
3. Name and label four suitable locations for recreational activities, for example water skiing, bush walking, camping, etc.
4. Use small arrows to show the direction of flow of the following rivers: a) Goulburn at Seymour b) Broken at Benalla c) Murray at Cobram
5. Name the river the Goulburn flows into, ie, the Goulburn is a tributary of _ _ _ _ _ _ River
6. Name the town nearest to the mouth of the Goulburn
7. Name the small town near the source of the Goulburn River. W_ _ _ _ P_ _ _ _
8. List 6 important agricultural products from the Goulburn Broken Catchment.
9. Match the photographs (A, B, C, D, E) to a location on your map.
10. What does the term catchment mean?
