What we offer / Upcoming professional development sessions:
LandLearn's free theme-based workshops provide hands-on curriculum linked activities, resources, ideas and networking opportunities to encourage and support teaching and learning about sustainable agriculture and natural resource management.

Learning in the Garden
Supporting teachers to integrate edible gardens and vegie patches into schools' curriculum.

Tuesday 27th July - St Kilda. Port Phillip EcoCentre, St Kilda. 10.00am - 3.30pm.
Tuesday 16th November - Ringwood East. Tintern Schools, Ringwood East. 10.00am - 3.30pm.

 

Schoolyard Sustainability
Assist teachers to build understanding and take action for land and natural resource management in schools. Sessions include an introduction to undertaking simple biodiversity audits of your school ground - contributing towards Biodiversity Module certification in the Resource Smart: AuSSI Vic (Sustainable Schools) Program.

Friday 16th July - Healesville Sanctuary, Badger Creek Rd, Healesville. 10am - 3.30pm

 

Food for the Future
Building on our successful Learning in the Garden workshops, this new theme explores how food availability and farming decisions are affected by climate change and other influences.

Tuesday 9th November – City of Casey. Myuna Farm, Doveton. 10.00am - 3.30pm.

 

Young Scientists Online Workshop
An online session to overview case studies of science-related projects that address issues of broad community concern such as: climate change, soil quality, pests and diseases, weeds, salinity and sustainable land management in Victoria. Participants will be provided with hands-on ideas to engage their students in the breadth of career opportunities available in the science and sustainable agriculture sector.

Thursday 19th August – Online.
The session will be held in Elluminate, a virtual meeting room hosted by the DEECD. All you need is a computer and an internet connection. A microphone/headset is optional. 3.50pm - 4.40pm.
