Learning in the Garden
Supporting teachers to integrate edible gardens and vegie patches into schools' curriculum.

Wednesday 28th April - Frankston High School, Towerhill Road, Frankston. 10am - 3.30pm
Tuesday 11th May - Horsham, Department of Primary Industries, Grains Innovation Park, Wimmera Highway Horsham (2km from the city centre). 9.30am - 1pm

 

Schoolyard Sustainability
Assist teachers to build understanding and take action for land and natural resource management in schools. Sessions include an introduction to undertaking simple biodiversity audits of your school ground - contributing towards Biodiversity Module certification in the Resource Smart: AuSSI Vic (Sustainable Schools) Program.

Wednesday 12th May - Healesville Sanctuary, Badger Creek Rd, Healesville. 10am - 3.30pm
Monday 17th May - Batesford, Primary School (Batesford Campus) Old Batesford Road, Batesford (approx. 10km NW of Geelong). 10am - 3.30pm

 

Food for the Future
Providing hands-on curriculum linked resources and ideas exploring how food availability and farming decisions are affected by climate change and other influences.

Thursday 29th April – Leongatha, South Gippsland Shire Council, 9 Smith Street, Leongatha. 10am – 4pm
Tuesday 11th May – Horsham, Department of Primary Industries, Grains Innovation Park, Wimmera Highway Horsham (2km from the city centre). 12pm – 4pm
Wednesday 19th May - Tatura, Department of Primary Industries, Ferguson Rd, Tatura. 10am - 3.30pm. This PD will link with elements of Learning in the Garden
Friday 21st May – St Kilda EcoCentre, Port Phillip EcoCentre, Cnr Herbert and Blessington Streets, St Kilda. 10am - 3.30pm
