LandLearn will be introducing our simple and interactive VELS-linked activities which support teaching of sustainability topics in the science classroom at a number of conferences:
- Beginning Science Teachers Conference (3 March - Darebin Arts & Entertainment Centre, Preston)
- Greening Australia Toolbox for Environmental Change (13 March - Melbourne Museum)
- Primary Science Teachers Conference (23 May - Darebin Arts & Entertainment Centre, Preston)
- 2008 Victorian Outdoor Education Association Conference (29-30 May - Abbotsford Convent, Collingwood, Melbourne)
LandLearn will also be offering workshops covering four PD themes around Victoria in 2008. Biodiversity Up Close **NEW**
Supporting the Biodiversity Resource Module of the Australian Sustainable Schools Initiative in Victoria (AuSSI Vic) LandLearn will be offering workshops suitable for teachers and Landcare/Community Group members to support the integration of Biodiversity and Sustainable Land Management themes into schools curriculum.

Creating Sustainable Futures
Introducing participants to OBLIQUE inspirations®, a pack of 48 cards designed to enable creative self-inquiry and development of a deeper understanding of sustainability in relationship to self, others, and the world. Learning in the Garden
Supporting teachers to integrate edible gardens and vegie patches into schools curriculum. These workshops introduce a variety of VELS-linked hands-on activities across the Science, Humanities, Communication and Thinking Processes domains. They also provide an opportunity for like minded teachers to network and share ideas about gardening.

Sustainable Agriculture and Landcare
These professional development workshops cover a range of themes across VELS domains including teaching and learning activities about farming enterprises (cropping, livestock and horticulture), trees, plants and plant growth, pests in agriculture, worms, water, food and food production and soils.
