LandLearn is running a workshop at the STAV Primary Science Conference on 23rd July at the Melbourne Business School, Carlton. The workshop will focus on activities found on the LandLearning CD including investigating the structure and function of animals, the role of ethylene in ripening tomatoes, insect lifecycles, and linking science and sustainability to literacy. LandLearn will run two workshops and a fieldwork day as part of the GTAV Conference 12th -14th August at Camberwell High School. A snapshot of LandLearn fieldwork and the innovative Creating Sustainable Futures program will feature in the workshops. Fieldwork will look at salinity in an urban landscape. Creating Sustainable Futures is an innovation in teaching and learning sustainability offering creative thinking tools and associated professional development. Upcoming conference workshops:

The Landcare Education Program will hold a School Plantation Farm Forestry PD on 20th June at Lismore Community Hall/Lismore Plantations. This PD is aimed at using school forestry plantations as a teaching resource and providing information, advice and expertise on plantation management.
