Professional Development - What's on in 2007

When planning your professional learning program for 2007, consider the relevant, engaging, curriculum-linked PD provided for free by LandLearn. If you are interested in organising a workshop for your whole school staff, cluster or network focussed on student learning about sustainable agriculture and natural resource management themes, please contact the Professional Development Coordinator to discuss the options.

Learning in the Garden PD, so popular in 2006 will continue in 2007. LandLearn will host the first one day workshop in Bendigo early in term 2. It will feature a variety of VELS-linked hands-on activities aimed at bringing edible gardens into the classroom in meaningful ways with learning integrated across the Science, Humanities, Health and PE, Communication and Thinking Processes domains at levels 3, 4 and 5. This session will provide the perfect opportunity to network and share ideas about gardening in dry times. More details to follow - please register your interest by emailing landlearn.program@dpi.vic.gov.au
