Advice to students
Students up to year 10

Don't stress if you do not know what you want to do when you leave school. David really didn't have any idea until the middle of year 12. Try to work out what sort of topics you like doing when selecting electives and don't just do what everyone else chooses if you are not interested in the subjects.

VCE students
Pick subjects that you enjoy doing as well as those that you need to do for a certain degree. A good mix of subjects allows you to be flexible in what you do after VCE.

Tertiary students
It's never too late to refocus your studies if you develop a passion for a certain stream during your degree. You'll enjoy study and life in general a lot more if you are doing something you are passionate about. Think outside the box when job seeking as well, you never know what sorts of positions your degree could lead to unless you look.

What careers have other graduates from your course entered?
Commercial lab work, teaching degrees, PhD studies, and forensic roles with the police.
