has a keen interest in Equine studies and she hopes
to further develop her knowledge in this field in the

is responsible for the role of Peer Support Leader at
her school.

grew up in Huon, via Wodonga Victoria.

Equine Studies.
Secondary:
Jessamy
is currently studying Equine studies through the Vocational
Education & Training (VET) program. Other elective options
available were Agriculture and Horticulture.
Work
experience:
Jessamy
has completed work experience as a Ranger with the Parks
Victoria at Mount Buffalo and has spent some time with
Jenny Bird (Rural Business Woman of the Year 1999) at
Towonga Morgan Stud, Sandy Creek, Victoria where she
has gained experience in mixed farming enterprises,
communications and sales.

Further study:
Jessamy
hopes to broaden her knowledge with computers and become
skilled at web site production.
ADVICE TO STUDENTS NOW:
students up to Year 10
Jessamy
suggests that students should take any opportunities
that may arise, and that you should be prepared to step
outside your home environment and try something new.

Comments, thoughts, suggestions.
Jessamy
believes that when she applied for the Young Rural Ambassador
Bursary this made her think about all of her achievements
and goals. In turn this has given some direction for
her future. This also has given her a wider scope on
important community and rural issues that need addressing.
